The neorealist drama ‘Rocco and His Brothers’ (1960) by Luchino Visconti shows us different levels of brotherly interactions. PERIFERIA explores some of the emotional expressions that arise from these, such as care, affection, anger, the need for protection and competition, establishing relational dynamics that often tend towards raw and primal impulses. The film combines these elements with documentary footage shot during the filming in Ravenna, Italy, using an approach typical of the Cinéma Vérité of the 1960s.

PERIFERIA esplora alcune delle espressioni emotive che ne derivano, come la cura, l’affetto, la rabbia, il bisogno di protezione e la competizione, stabilendo dinamiche relazionali che spesso tendono a impulsi grezzi e primordiali. Il film combina questi elementi con riprese documentarie girate durante le riprese a Ravenna, in Italia, utilizzando un approccio tipico del Cinéma Vérité degli anni '60.
