At the beginning of the war, Ukrainian artist Halyna Andrusenko fled to the west of the country. There she began drawing the fabric-wrapped statues that served as protection from Russian bombs. What was originally conceived as an art project thus became a family story. Halyna, who grew up in a simple, loving farming family, wants nothing more than to protect her loved ones: her parents, her partner and her future child. But is that really possible in times of war?
