As a trapper of wild animals, the guiding philosophy of Peter “Pief” Ryhiner was that animals threatened with extinction would, thanks to him, have a chance to survive in zoos. Ryhiner’s exploits have been captured on film, and he has been a guest of, and under contract to, television channels all over the world. But in a changing world that has moved on from the ideas of the 1950's this nonconformist has increasingly found himself an outsider.
