Soon after returning from the US, mountain guide Andrea is asked to lead a rescue expedition in her home village. The person missing only happens to be the richest woman in the valley, wife of constructor Werner Baumberger. When they find her, she is dead, fatally hit by falling stones according to the doctor. But Andrea’s father Robert, a retired police officer, is convinced of foul play and that Baumberger murdered his wife. With the help of his daughter, Robert starts investigating, but when he is hospitalised following a heart attack, Andrea continues on her own. What she discovers is enough to finally wake up the seemingly tranquil village. Kennel’s thriller has enough turning points and a great final twist that reveal a thrillingly less than postcard-pretty view of Switzerland.
