The film tells the poetic story of Heidi Kramer’s emigration—through the eyes and words of her granddaughter. Johanna Sofia Heusser traces the life of her grandmother, who emigrated to the small Cycladic island of Tinos in the 1980s to devote herself to architecture as a self-taught artist. Over the past 40 years, she has built numerous houses, which keep drawing Johanna back to the island. Inspired by her grandmother’s extraordinary life, the artist finds her own path.
