In 2023, filmmaker Taro Spirig traveled through China. He filmed himself and the people he met, hoping to capture something of their existence. A year later, Spirig saw footage of his now-deceased grandfather, filmed by his mother. Seeing the love and sorrow in each image, the director realized that this was what truly mattered. The traces his grandfather left behind can be found in his mother's films.
Nel 2023, il regista Taro Spirig ha viaggiato attraverso la Cina. Ha filmato se stesso e le persone che ha incontrato, sperando di catturare qualcosa della loro esistenza. Un anno dopo, Spirig ha visto le riprese del nonno, ormai scomparso, girate dalla madre. Vedendo l'amore e il dolore in ogni immagine, il regista ha capito che questo era ciò che contava davvero. Le tracce lasciate dal nonno si possono trovare nei film della madre.
