With his first essay film, the artist returns to Genoa, the city where he spent several months two decades earlier. Once again, he follows the labyrinthine alleyways of the old town—spaces that once mirrored his inner states of doubt, desire, and artistic self-inquiry. Drawing on a diary written during that earlier stay, the film unfolds as an audiovisual montage in which city and self begin to merge and blur into one another.
