Pascal Häusermann

Director, Screenwriter

Born 1973, in Chur, Switzerland. He has been working on his art projects since 2002 mainly dominated by the media of sculpture. 2008 diploma FH-Visual Designer from University of Arts Zurich. Between 2001 and 2005 exhibits in the context of cultural activism in Zurich among others the squatted Cabaret Voltaire. 2003 he spends a residency at Genoa, Italy and wins 2006 the Swiss Art Award. Has exhibitions in Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Georgia, Morocco and Brazil. 2011 he is a cooperative curator of the sculpture triennial Bex&Arts at the french part of Switzerland and is curating several exhibitions as a freelance curator until 2013. 2011 and 2012 he is lecturer at the F+F School of Art and Media Design, Zurich. From 2008-10 he is a member or The John Institute, a independent curatorial project, based in Zurich. Since 2012 he starts working on films which accompany his interest into urban structures. He produces big size sculptures in public space like in Freiburg, South-Germany, Bex and Zurich, Switzerland. 2012/13 4-months residency in Paris at the Cité internationale des Arts. 2014 he has his first institutional solo – exhibition at Centre PasquArt, Biel – Switzerland and 2015 he wins a international residency from the FAAP – Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado in São Paulo.
He lives and works in Zurich.
