The film accompanies theater pedagogue Roman Weishaupt on his three-month journey to Santiago de Compostela, the burial site of St. James the apostle. The number of pilgrims who, out of different motives, have walked the thousand-year-old, historical Camino de Santiago, has constantly increased. Euphoria, gratification, contacts with many people, but also sacrifice, discontentment, doubt, and physical and mental exhaustion are, along with the vagaries of the weather, his constant companions. A somewhat different kind of road movie.
