Four award-winning Swiss film productions were among the Official Selection for the 27th Festroia International Film Festival in Setúbal (June 3-12, 2011). The feature film “La petite chambre” by Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond, winner of the Swiss Film Prize “Quartz 2011,” was one of the twelve films screened in competition. Cihan Inan’s “180°” – also a winner of the Swiss Film Prize “Quartz 2011” – participated in the First Works competition. Stéphanie Chuat and Cihan Inan presented their films personally at the festival in Portugal.

One of the three films screened in the youth programme was Peter Luisi's "Der Sandmann," while the film feature film "Eden," coproduced by C-Films in 2006, was among the twelve films screened in the Cooking Love programme.

The festival held in the Portuguese coastal city of Setúbal focuses on European film productions and independent international filmmaking. In recent years Swiss feature films have been regularly invited to compete at the Festroia Film Festival: "Der Freund" and "From Somewhere To Nowhere" in 2009; "Fuori dalle corde" in 2008; "Die Herbstzeitlosen" and "Das Fräulein" in 2007; "Nachbeben" and "Vitus" in 2006; and "Strähl" in 2005. In 2004 Oliver Paulus and Stefan Hillebrand won 1st prize in the First Works competition with the film "Wenn der Richtige kommt" and Micha Lewinsky with "Der Freund" in 2009.
