“SoulShadows” finds audience in Germany

12.11.2003

Produced in 2002, the documentary film “Seelenschatten” (“SoulShadows”) by Dieter Gränicher was shown at the 27th Duisburg Film Week (November 3-9, 2003) as the only Swiss contribution. It will begin its tour of German cinemas in early 2004 (Distribution: Eiszeit Film Berlin).
“SoulShadows” – an encounter with individuals who suffer from depression –stimulated great audience interest which was largely expressed at a Question and Answer session with the director. The quality of these type of discussions is a hallmark of the documentary film week held in the Ruhr district. As for Switzerland, over 9,000 viewers saw the multimedia project (Film/DVD/Internet) in the German part of the country in the past year, and more than 1,000 DVDs of the film have already been sold.
