Swiss Presence in Namur, Belgium

22.09.2003

Six Swiss film productions will be shown in various sections of the 18th Namur International Festival of Francophone Film which takes place from September 26 - October 3. Part of the festival competition will be “Remue ménage”, a full-length documentary film by Fernand Melgar and “Schenglet”, a short animation film by Laurent Nègre.
In the non-competitive sections, the festival will screen “Les printemps de notre vie (fragments)“ by Francis Reusser, “Le sacrifice“ by Emmanuela Andreoli and Wladimir Tchertkoff, as well as the short films “La moto de ma mère“ by Séverine Cornamusaz and “Viandes“ by Bruno Deville. Even though several feature films - such as “Au sud des nuages“ by Jean-François Amiguet, “On dirait le sud“ by Vincent Pluss, or “Des épaules solides“ by Ursula Meier - have recently been finished, Switzerland is not represented in the full-length features section this year. Ticino producer Tiziana Soudani is a jury member for full-length films while cineaste Lionel Baier sits on the documentary film jury.
