Two Swiss co-productions in Melbourne

Two Swiss co-productions will be presented at the 57th Melbourne International Film Festival, which runs from July 25 to August 10, 2008: the fiction film “Salt of This Sea” by Palestinian filmmaker Annemarie Jacir , which was co-produced by Thelma Film in Zurich, and the documentary film “Staub” by German director Hartmut Bitomsky, which was co-produced by Dschoint Ventschr, also located in Zurich.
The film festival in Melbourne is the largest film festival Australia, presenting films from over 50 countries to an audience of more than 180,000 every year. Together with the screening of an extensive selection of international productions without a competition, the festival offers a comprehensive overview of film production from Australia.
