Emanuel Schäublin
Screenwriter
He is an anthropologist specialising in political conflicts in Europe and Arab countries. Since 2013 he also works in the film industry as a screenwriter and conceptual advisor. He has cowritten the screenplays of THOSE WHO ARE FINE (2017) and UNREST (2022). As an advisor, he supports filmmakers in developing initial ideas for projects that revisit and question history and the present. He develops techniques to break up dominant narratives and perceptions, for example, through direct exchange with people from the social milieus shown in the film or networking with anthropologists worldwide.
