Born in 1999 in Tehran, Iran. An audiovisual artist, they work mainly as a filmmaker and musician based in between Geneva and Paris. They have participated at festivals including Cannes, Berlinale, Venice, Locarno, Visions du Réel, IDFA and FID. A recipient of Prince Claus Seed Award, l’Abri associated artist, Master ECAL/HEAD alumni and currently enrolling in Le Fresnoy. They directed eighteen short films which screened in over two hundred film festivals and have won forty awards. Filmsaaz’s debut LP titled “harmony/disharmony” was released in April 2025 and their debut feature, the audiovisual opera WOLFGANG (2026) premieres in Rotterdam's Bright Future section .
