Johanna finished her dance studies in 2016 at the HF for contemporary and urban dance in Zürich and graduated from the Master Expanded Theater at HKB in Bern in 2022. Since 2016, she has also been creating her own works, which have been performed at various festivals and theatres in Switzerland, Europe, India, Turkey and Uganda, including ROXY Birfselden, Schlachthaus Theater Bern, Dschungel Wien, Theater im Pumpenhaus Münster, FIT Festival Lugano, Zürcher Theaterspektakel, Kampala National Theatre, danceLife Festival Nairobi, Khuli Kirkee Delhi, Khoj Delhi, TIFA Pune, Shoonya Bangalore and the Istanbul Fringe Festival. She was a finalist in the PREMIO Switzerland 2021. In 2022, she took part in the ATLAS programme at ImpulsTanz Vienna. Johanna was nominated as best emerging artist in the Theater Heute critics’ poll 2022. She has been awarded a multi-year grant for her company by the FA Basel Stadt/Land for the years 2027–2029. TO SPITI TIS HEIDI (2026) is her first film.
