Born in 1988 in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. He arrived in Switzerland as a refugee in 2009. He graduated in Visual Communication in 2016 and completed his Bachelor in Cinema from ECAL (École cantonale d'art de Lausanne) in 2021. His graduation film DOOSRA (2022) received the Upcoming Talent award at the Solothurn Film Festival, the Audience Award for Best Graduation Film in Europe at the Premiers Plans d'Angers and was nominated for the Swiss Film Award for Best Graduation Film. THE GAP is his next short fiction film. His first feature documentary project is currently in development.
