Slawomir Fabicki
Director
Born in 1970 in Warsaw, Poland. Director and screenwriter. His short film A MAN THING (2001) was nominated for an Academy Award. For his feature-length debut RETRIEVAL (2006) he received the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury in Cannes' Un certain regard section. The film was a Polish candidate for an Oscar and was distributed in arthouse cinemas in the United States. His next film LOVING (2012) won the Special Award of the Jury at the 2013 Gdynia Film Festival. He is a member of the European Film Academy and the Board of the Directors’ Guild of Poland. ANXIETY (2023) premieres in competition at the Warsaw Film Festival.
