Born in 1963 in Herisau, Switzerland. Trained as a photographer and audiovisual producer. Since 1993, he has run his own studio and carried out a wide range of commissioned projects in the fields of photography and film. In 2016, he completed the CAS Creationship at the ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts). He founded Karrer Multivision in 2017. His cinema documentaries TWILIGHT ZONES (2020) and THE POWER OF UTOPIA – LIVING WITH LE CORBUSIER IN CHANDIGARH (2023) were highly successful. THE POWER OF UTOPIA was awarded Best Film at the Venice Architecture Film Festival in 2023. He is currently developing the documentary SEARCHING FOR COMMUNITY (working title), together with Karin Bucher.
