Réfugiée érythréenne, Shewit a seize ans lorsqu’elle arrive seule à Genève. Elle veut s’intégrer en Suisse pour échapper à son passé et à un destin de femme soumise. S’exiler pour s’émanciper. Mais huit ans après son arrivée, elle n’a toujours pas de permis de séjour et son sort reste suspendu à la décision des autorités.
