Twenty-five years after a revolution no-one thought possible, European filmmaker Konrad returns to a land suffering from the wounds of war, with little hope for the future. Twenty years ago Konrad herself experienced Nicaragua as a place of utopian ideals, where people strived to achieve the impossible: to conquer poverty, inequality and political pluralism. But travelling through Nicaragua today, Konrad cannot help but be aware of great changes. This is the story of Nicaragua, whose revolutionary history is shaped by myth and poetry, as well as by the country’s relationship to its big brother North America.
