Geboren 1962 in Luzern, Schweiz. Unabhängiger Filmemacher und Produzent mit Sitz in Zürich. 2007 Mitgründer von Okofilm Productions. HAPPINESS IS A WARM GUN (2001), LENZ (2006) und I WAS A SWISS BANKER (2007) sowie der Dokumentarfilm DAY IS DONE IS DONE (2011) wurden an der Berlinale uraufgeführt. Sein englischsprachiges Historiendrama MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS (2013) wurde am TIFF gezeigt. Sein Spielfilm GLAUBENBERG (2018) hatte im Wettbewerb von Locarno Premiere. NEMESIS (2020) feierte seine internationale Premiere im Wettbewerb an der IDFA 2020, wo er den Preis für Beste Kamera gewann.
