In the Étang district of Geneva, very different ways of life coexist: detached houses with their flower-filled gardens, community vegetable patches and small wooden chalets, alongside the new eco-neighbourhood with its tall glass-fronted buildings. The author discovers these places as she walks through the district for the first time. Filled with wonder and curiosity, she ventures ever deeper into the heart of this area. But as she walks, visions transport her to another dimension, where a parallel journey through the underworld begins.
