Swiss films in Goteborg

At the 29th Goteborg Film Festival, taking place from January 27 – February 6, 2006, no less than eight Swiss films and co-productions will be participating. In the “Another View” section, films such as “Snow White” by Samir (Production: Dschoint Ventsch, Zurich), “St. Francis Bird Tour” by Clemens Klopfenstein, and “Into Great Silence” by Philipp Gröning (Co-Production: Ventura Film, Meride) will be shown. In the documentary section “It’s All True”, films such as “Coca – The Dove from Chechnya” by Eric Bergkraut (Doc Productions, Zurich), and “Face Addict” by Edo Bertoglio (Production: Amka Films, Savosa) will be featured. The “Worldwide” series will present “Delwende” by S.Pierre Yameogo (Co-production: Thelma Film, Zurich) and the feature film “Rose”, directed by Swiss director Alain Gsponer and produced in Germany. “You Bet Your Life” by Antonin Svoboda (Co-producton: Triluna Films, Zurich) will be the opening film for the “First Cut” program which presents first-time features.
In addition to its Nordic competition, the film festival, which is the most important event for Sweden and Scandinavia, presents a wide platform for European and international film productions through its eighteen section program. Directors Eric Bergkraut, S. Pierre Yameogo, and Antonin Svoboda will be in attendance at the event.
