Carla Juri
Actor
Born in 1985 in Ticino, Switzerland. She grew up bilingual in Ambri. 2005-10 She studied acting in Los Angeles and London. For her first film role in Cihan Inan’s 180º she won the Swiss Film Prize in 2011 for her performance. For her leading role in Xavier Koller's SOMEONE LIKE ME (2012) she received the Swiss Film Prize for Best Actress. In 2013 she starred in leading roles in the German film WETLANDS and in the English film FOSSIL. In 2015, she appeared in front of the camera for Peter Greenaway in WALKING TO PARIS. This was followed in 2016 by the title role in PAULA, as well as roles in MORRIS FROM AMERICA and BRIMSTONE. In 2017, she starred alongside Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling in BLADE RUNNER 2049. She appeared in I'LL BE YOUR MIRROR (2022) by Bradley Rust Gray, BREATHING UNDERWATER (2023) by Eric Lamhène and TORCH SONG (2024) by Jeroen Houben. In 2025, she appeared alongside Corinna Harfouch in DIE ASSISTENTIN by Jutta Brückner.
