Carla Juri
Actor
Born in 1985 in Ticino, Switzerland. She grew up bilingual in Ambri. 2005-10 studied acting in Los Angeles and London. Her first film role already brings her success: she wins the Swiss Film Prize in 2011 for her performance in Cihan Inan’s 180º. For her leading role in Xavier Koller's SOMEONE LIKE ME (2012) she is awarded with the Swiss Film Prize as Best Actress. Thanks to her multilingualism, she also appears in films in Germany, England and Italy. In 2013 she starred in leading roles in the German film WETLANDS and in the English film FOSSIL.
