Born in 1968 in Zurich, Switzerland. She studied acting at the ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts). After permanent engagements in Wilhelmshaven and Hanover and as a guest at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, she now lives as a freelance actress in Zurich and Berlin.

She received the Swiss Film Award in 2017 for the role of Theresa in the feature film THE DIVINE ORDER (2017). In the feature film ZWINGLI (2019) she took on the role as abbess Katharina von Zimmern. From 2020, she performed in the third in the Swiss TATORT as public prosecutor Anita Wegenast. In 2021, she received the Swiss Television Award Prix Swissperform. For her role as Marina in the feature film SPAGAT (2020) by Christian Johannes Koch, she was nominated for the 2021 Swiss Film Award for "Best Actress in a Leading Role". The film won the 2021 Zurich Film Award.

From 2021, she will be part of the main cast of the Netflix series NEUMATT. The first two seasons can be seen on Play Swiss and in over 30 languages on Netflix. In 2021, she shoots in English for the co-production THE SWARM, which opens the Berlinale Series in 2023 and wins the German Television Award for "Best Multi-part Series".

Andreas Dresen's IN LIEBE, EURE HILDE, in which she plays the role of Jewish actress Ella Karma, premiered 2024 at the Berlinale. The feature film FRIEDAS FALL, directed by Maria Brendle, premieres in 2024.
