Born 2000 in Basel (CH). Since 2016 independent film and photography projects. 2016 photography award at Lumas x annabell. From 2018 onwards technical and creative roles on film and advertising sets. 2020-24 degree in film at ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts), with a focus on cinematography. During his studies, he not only worked as a cinematographer but also explored visual storytelling beyond traditional narrative structures as a director. Currently, Rafael primarily works as a cinematographer on both short and feature film productions. In 2023, he shot SOLO SHOW, his first feature film as cinematographer (directed by Julius Weigel). Additionally, Rafael also pursues his own short projects.
