Sandeep Abraham was born in Basel in 1990, where he also grew up. From 2011-15, he studied multimedia production with a focus on film at the HTW Chur.
As part of his studies, he realised various short films, which were shown at festivals in Switzerland and abroad, where he and his colleagues won various prizes. Works such as REWAKE (2015) received considerable public attention, as it deals with the cinematic development of smartphones and encourages young filmmakers to practice. Among others, he was invited as a guest speaker at the ZFF (2015), CYP Film Workshop (2015) and Mobile Motion Film Festival (2016) and portrayed by 20Min (2015) and Regio Aktuell (2015).
Alongside his studies, he gained high-end experience at Tim Lüdin GmbH. He produced national commercials and image films there and focussed on DoP and post-production. From 2015-16 he was chief cameraman and director at joiz. Sandeep trained the interns in the broadcasting team and produced programme content and trailers.
Since the end of 2015, Sandeep Abraham has been working as a freelance director, dop and editor for international agencies such as Jung von Matt and Nace.
