Born in 1985 in Zurich, Switzerland, where his mother migrated to from Istanbul. He worked in Mexico City as a typographer, and in Berlin for five years in cinema and theatre. In 2014 he studied film at HEAD – Genève (Haute école d'art et de design) in Geneva. His short films have screened at festivals around the world. BROTHERS – A FAMILY FILM (2020) premiered at Visions du Réel. DE NOCHE LOS GATOS SON PARDOS (2022), his feature debut, premiered in Locarno, where it got a Special Mention for Best First Feature. Since then, it has screened at international festivals, including Rotterdam, Thessaloniki, Sevilla, São Paulo and the Berlin Critics' Week. He founded Andrea Film and also acts in his own productions and films from colleagues, recently in Cyril Schäublins UNREST.
