Im Mai 1747 begegnet der alternde Johann Sebastian Bach (Vadim Glowna) in Potsdam dem jungen König Friedrich II von Preußen (Jürgen Vogel). Eine Woche lang führen diese beiden Titanen des Barock eine manchmal problematische, oft jedoch amüsante Vater-Sohn-Beziehung - ein Duell der Giganten, das im Bach-Clan ebenso wie im Königsschloss für ein heiteres Durcheinander sorgt.
