Geboren 1941 in Luzern, Schweiz, lebt heute in Lugano. Er studierte an der London Film School (LSFT). Zurück in der Schweiz produziert er mehrere Kulturreportagen für das Schweizer Fernsehen SRF und RSI. Dann begann er Dokumentarfilme zu drehen. In seinen Filmen mischt er manchmal Fiktion und Dokumentation. Im Jahr 1981 gründete er seine eigene Produktionsfirma, die Imagofilm Lugano. Er ist Mitglied des Schweizerischen Verbandes der Filmautoren und -regisseure (ARF/FDS) und des Schweizer Produzentenverbandes GARP und des AFAT.
