Jacir's film tells the story of 24-year-old Soraya who grew up in a Palestinian worker and refugee community in New York. One day she discovers that her grandfather’s hard-earned savings since his exile in 1948 are frozen in a bank in Jaffa, Palestine. This information prompts her to fulfill her long-held dream of returning to Palestine.
