In a globalized, turbo-capitalist economy where instruments, artworks, and cultural assets are turned into commodities, the film explores the tension between market value and cultural or personal significance. Particularly in an era of increasing digitalization and dematerialization, the film serves as a reminder that cultural meaning often survives through physical objects, artisanal traditions, and lived relationships. The violin—purportedly a valuable 1747 Landolfi—is given its own voice in the film, allowing its history to resonate through sound.
