Selin Dettwiler

Born in Switzerland in 1990, to a Kurdish-Turkish mother and a Swiss father.
2017 Bachelor's degree in Video with a focus on editing at HSLU (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Design Film & Art). 2022 Master of Arts in Film from HES-SO, specialising in editing at ECAL (École cantonale d'art de Lausanne) and HEAD-Genève (Haute école d'art et de design). In 2023, she received the Edit Space Förderpreis Schnitt at the Edimotion Festival für Filmschnitt und Montagekunst for the short film Ours by Morgane Frund,
which also won the Swiss Film Award in 2023. Today, she works as an independent film editor for documentaries and fiction films, as a musician and at Opferhilfe Bern.
