Né en 1965 à Lausanne, Suisse. Travaille comme monteur et réalisateur indépendant à partir de 1985. Réside et travaille à New York entre 1987 et 1993. Formation au documentaire avec John Reilly et Julie Gustafson chez Global Village Experimental Center. Collabore avec plusieurs artistes et réalisateurs comme Nam June Paik, Alexander Hahn, Shigeko Kubota. Réalise plusieurs vidéos expérimentales et poétiques avant de passer au documentaire long-métrage. De retour en Suisse, rejoint le collectif Climage au sein duquel il produit et réalise de nombreux documentaires destinés au cinéma ou à la télévision.
