Born in 1973 in Bern, Switzerland, he grew up in Lugano. Humanistic & Cinema studies at the University of Lausanne; Bachelor degree in Communication Sciences at the USI (Università della Svizzera italiana, Lugano); studies in Film Production in Milan, Italy.
He started working in the cinema and television industry in 1996 as a production assistant, then as a unit and production manager in Italy & Switzerland. From 2006-12 he served as a jr. producer at Ventura film. Since 2013 he teaches at the CISA film school in Locarno.
In 2014 he establishes the production company ROUGH CAT, aiming at developing and producing both documentaries and fiction films by young and mainly local authors, keeping an eye on European cinema and international co-productions.
Main workshops attended: New Horizons Studio (Int. Film Festival Wrocklaw 2013) / FOCAL Audience & Marketing Strategies 2020 / EURODOC 22.
