1998 Graduated from Bournemouth Film School, England. After his studies in England, Pierre directed his first short films SWAPPED and COME CLOSER, which won the Swiss Film Prize and a Pardi di Domani at the Locarno Film Festival. RECYCLING LILY (2013) was his feature directorial debut. This was followed by successful series such as ANOMALIA (2015), WILDER, NEUMATT and, more recently, HORS SAISON with Marina Hands. PLATZSPITZBABY (2020), his second feature film, is one of the great successes of Swiss cinema and was voted best film of the year by the Association of Swiss Film Journalists. BISONS celebrated its premiere at the Rotterdam Festival 2024. This rural drama was also nominated for six Swiss Film Awards and won three trophies: Best Actor, Best Photography and Best Music. He completed the history drama WINTER PALACE (2024), the first series coproduced by Netflix and RTS. HELLO BETTY is in production.
